His career began with a residency at the Research Institute of Ophthalmology in Egypt, followed by a prestigious fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Frankfurt University, Germany, and he also earned the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCS) in Glasgow, England. He continues to contribute to academia as a Visiting Professor at the Research Institute of Ophthalmology in Egypt.
